The Harrisburg Township Park District is accepting bids for the following: Athletic Uniforms (Jerseys) for the 2026 Flag Football Season
Sealed bids plainly marked “SEALED BID – FLAG FOOTBALL UNIFORMS” and addressed “Harrisburg Township Park District, Attn: Jill Marvel Recreation Director, 921 W. Poplar St., Harrisburg, IL 62946” shall be received on or before 8:00 AM, Friday, July 17, 2026 at the Main Park Office of the Harrisburg Township Park District, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. 12/19/2025 - 2026 Board Meeting Calendar
At the regular monthly board meeting on December 19, 2025, the Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the date, time, and location of the 2026 regular monthly meetings. All board meetings will be held the 3rd Friday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at the Park Main Office Community Room located at 921 W. Poplar St. The following indicates the dates of the meetings: January 16, February 20, March 20, April 17, May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18, October 16, November 20, and December 18. Adoption of these dates was approved December 19, 2025.

Harrisburg Township Park District hereby provides public notice that an audit of its funds for the period July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 (FY2025) has been made by Meyer & Associates CPA, LLC and that a report of such audit dated October 27, 2025 has been filed with the County Clerk of Saline County in accordance with 30 ILCS 15/0.01 et seq. In accordance with 35 ILCS 200/18-60, the Harrisburg Township Park District posts applicable Truth in Taxation documents, including the Estimate of Tax Levy. Harrisburg Township Park District is seeking someone for the open Administrative Assistant (Full Time) Position. The Administrative Assistant assists the Executive Director with the day-to-day routine office duties as well as assists the Recreation Director with supervision and monitoring of recreation programs. Benefits include IMRF Pension, Annual Bonus, Personal Time Off, Paid Sick Leave, Paid Vacation, and Paid Holidays. The salary may fall in the range of minimum $30,000 to maximum $35,000. Two (2) Park Board Commissioner seats up for Election.
Harrisburg Township Park District will have two (2) Board of Commissioners seats to be filled at the April 1, 2025 Consolidated General Election. One Candidate elected will fill a four (4) year term expiring in April 2029. One Candidate elected will fill a two (2) year term expiring in April 2027 to fill the vacancy for a previously unexpired term. Candidates must be a resident in the Harrisburg Township Park District boundaries.
Candidates for the office of Park Board of Commissioners can begin to circulate nominating petitions for signatures beginning August 20, 2024. The period for filing nominating papers runs from November 12 - 18, 2024.
Please return all nominating petitions to the Park District office located at 921 W. Poplar Street between the office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. It is the Park Board Secretary’s responsibility to file with the County Clerk.

The Harrisburg Township Park District Board of Commissioners will address the vacancy at the April 19, 2024 Regularly Scheduled Park Board Meeting at 8:00 am at the Harrisburg Township Park District Office (921 W. Poplar St.).

At the conclusion of the regularly scheduled January 19, 2024 park board meeting, the Local Government Efficiency Committee met for the third and final time and approved the Efficiency Report for Harrisburg Township Park District.
